      <title>WVU Dining Services seeking PR intern</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="caps"&gt;WVU&lt;/span&gt; Dining Services seeking an intern for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="caps"&gt;WVU&lt;/span&gt; Dining Services is now accepting applications for a PR intern to assist their Public Relations Manager.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Interns will gain experience in:&lt;br /&gt;-Crafting and disseminating press releases&lt;br /&gt;-Developing advertising campaigns and working with local advertisers&lt;br /&gt;-Creating promotional materials in response to campus needs&lt;br /&gt;-Editing and maintaining web content&lt;br /&gt;-Using social media for public relations, marketing, and research purposes&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and a quick learner. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not mandatory. Juniors and seniors are invited to apply. Interns will be paid $9/hr and receive one free meal per shift. Start date for the internship is August 19, 2013 and is located in Lyon Tower on the Evansdale Campus.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Eberly College at WVU seeks intern for development office</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Dean&amp;#8217;s Office is pleased to offer a paid summer internship for May 15th- August 15th. The intern will work in the Development Office on variety of projects related to the &lt;span class="caps"&gt;ECAS&lt;/span&gt; Strategic Plan and State of Minds Capital Campaign. Applicants need to have excellent writing and editing skills, the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals, the capability of being a self-starter, and vigorous attention to details. Experience with high-level fundraising is a plus.&lt;br /&gt;The intern will be responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Development and the Operations Coordinator with daily tasks, to include but not limited to: alumni relations, fundraising efforts, social media assistance in event planning, and general office support. Management of online content will be a large responsibility. This includes website content and engagement in social networking sites: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. This person will be responsible for website updates and maintenance, for Eberly College and its departmental pages. This includes uploading content. Previous experience with Slate software is preferred, but not required.&lt;/p&gt;


In addition to these tasks, the following is involved:

	&lt;li&gt;Writing/editing blog posts&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Database entry&lt;/li&gt;

      <title>Ryan's Rally seeks social media intern</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Ryan&amp;#8217;s Rally &lt;span class="caps"&gt;LLC&lt;/span&gt; is looking for a public relations intern to help manage their social networking. The intern would work 15-20 hours each week for eight weeks.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Ryan&amp;#8217;s Rally is a fundraising effort to help support the cost of medical care for Ryan Diviney, a former &lt;span class="caps"&gt;WVU&lt;/span&gt; student who was brutally beaten in 2009 and has since been in a coma.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;The intern will follow and show understanding of using social media to promote and advance business goals and objectives. The intern will interact and understand the relationships built between website design and content, Facebook Business (Fan) Pages, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and other currently popular social media. The internship is unpaid.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;This position is designed to provide participants with a foundation and skill set in the new, evolving world of social media tools and strategies so that they can immediately apply them in the workplace. Proficiencies and skills for the student:&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;1) Understand what social media is and why it is important, &lt;br /&gt;2) Effectively use today&amp;#8217;s most popular social media tools to build relationships and increase productivity, &lt;br /&gt;3) Understand the importance of building an online community, &lt;br /&gt;4) Create and execute impactful social media campaigns, &lt;br /&gt;5) Recognize trends in mobile applications and how social media intersects with mobile technology, &lt;br /&gt;6) Participate in a real world study (Ryan&amp;#8217;s Rally &lt;span class="caps"&gt;LLC&lt;/span&gt;) of the effective use of social media within business-to-business and business-to-consumer settings, and&lt;br /&gt;7) Integrate social media concepts into an organization&amp;#8217;s overall marketing strategy.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>College of Engineering seeks design intern</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources&lt;/strong&gt; is seeking an undergraduate intern to specialize in graphic design for the Statler College&amp;#8217;s outreach and recruitment office.  This student&amp;#8217;s main responsibility will be developing designs for flyers and t-shirts, assisting with the design and compilation of recruitment materials, and updating the website.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;This student will work with outside suppliers, &lt;span class="caps"&gt;WVU&lt;/span&gt; trademark and licensing, and various constituents across the Statler College and &lt;span class="caps"&gt;WVU&lt;/span&gt; as a whole.  The responsibilities are not limited to this, and may also include scheduling photo shoots, compiling information for recruitment material, and keeping recruitment and outreach displays up to date.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;This person must be able to work independently, as well as in groups. Creativity is an important attribute that this intern must possess, but he or she must also be able to work within the design constraints of the University.  He or she must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple-projects at one-time. A background in graphic design, marketing, public relations, or art would be preferable.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;This intern will be paid $10 an hour and can work up to 20 hours per week. The intern can set up his or her schedule, but dependability is important; schedule can be flexible with advanced notice.&lt;/p&gt;
