WVU News & Information office seeks interns
The News and Information Services department (NIS) produces stories, videos and other multimedia content to help enhance the reputation of West Virginia University. Interns at NIS have an opportunity to write press releases, work on multimedia projects and help with media events. Interns at NIS will receive experience working in a progressive public relations operation where professionals are adapting to a changing media landscape. We are no longer focused only on traditional media, but are producing our own compelling content, using our own web site and social media to connect with the audiences we care about.
Interns in the program should be strong writers who can meet deadlines. In addition to writing and working on multimedia projects, responsibilities of interns include administrative duties (answering phones, filing, etc.).
Students who are interested in gaining experience working for NIS should submit a resume and a cover letter explaining their interest to: Dan Kim, Director of NIS, at Dan.Kim@mail.wvu.edu
